Would You Like to Join a Drinking Party?

Sooooo stupid question. I always frustrate when my colleague this question.

I like to have a dinner and drink with my friends. But, in business situation, I don’t like it. Of course, when my supervisor who I respect ask me to have a drink party, I’d love to join.

In Japan, there is a “Nomikai Bunka: Drinking Culture” in a company. After our job on Friday, workers go to Izakaya and talk with them. However, most of them are not valuable. It’s stupid.

First, new faces have to read between the line of their boss and colleague. New faces have to order cuisine and alcohole instead of boss doing.

Plus, in my case, I don’t like to join a party. I’m not talkative so I’m lose my way of conversation because many participants are joining. In addition, most of conversation are about job. So bored. I just wanna forget about my job and relax. Sometimes, our boss cut into my private talking. Why should I talk about my private to my boss who I don’t have strong relationship.

My colleague asked this question to me and I felt bad so I’m writing this prompt lol.

I’m happy to have a dinner with my friends, but don’t like to do with colleagues who just have a relationship in a workplace only.
