One of the main attractions in Asakusa is Senso-ji, which is one of Tokyo’s oldest and most significant Buddhist temples. It’s a representative of Asakusa, isn’t it!? When you get off at Asakusa Station, you may see this outstanding entrance at first. This entrance is called “Kaminari Mon”.

Going through the entrance, there is a street to proceed to Senso-ji. There are many kinds of souvenir shops. When I visited here, many visitors from other countries enjoyed to buy souvenirs. They sell unique items such as a Mask, Kimono, Japanese Fan etc.

Tokyo Skytree is an iconic landmark located in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. It is a broadcasting tower and observation tower that stands as the tallest structure in Japan and one of the tallest towers in the world. Standing at a height of 634 meters (2,080 feet), Tokyo Skytree offers breathtaking panoramic views of the cityscape and surrounding areas from its observation decks. Actually, last time I visited, Genshin’s event was held at Tokyo Skytree until early last March. That’s why, I decided to go to Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree with a friend of mine.

From the top of tower, so attractive view!!!

Genshin’s characters also welcomed us!!!
When I focused on taking picture, this video was broadcasted! At that time, on a game: Genshin, the biggest event :the Lantern Rite was held. That’s video. I was so surprised because the Lantern Rite always makes me moving my heart. It always makes me learn something.

Anyway, in order to see the night view of Tokyo, Tokyo Skytree is the best place to see.
3.Izakaya: Gonpachi in Asakusa

I went to this Izakaya called Gonpachi to have a dinner. It’s a kind of typical Izakaya restaurant but, one of the most special thing is they sell vegan menu, halal menu (must make a reservation 3 days advance) and they have an English menu. Gonpachi is so helpful for visitors from other countries so when I visited there, half of customers were from another countries.
A couple of customer next to me have a problem because they don’t know how to order and call staffs. I think it’s a kind of culture gap. I’m gonna write about how to enjoy Izakaya so don’t miss my posts!

We ordered those cuisines. This restaurant’s famous foods are Tempura and Soba. Unfortunately, we went there after 8 o’clock and last order was very short. Plus, we had full of stomach so, we forgot to order soba… Next time, I’ll try to have soba.
Price: Average JPY 4,500-6,000
That’s all of this chapter. When you visit Asakusa, if you visit Senso-ji, Tokyo Skytree, and nice restaurant, you can experience everything. In order to experience Edo’s culture, Why don’t you visit Asakusa!
