Here is a second part of Izu Peninsula! Last time was the end of March when was a not beginning of cherry blossom and bad weather. I was satisfied with that trip but I didn’t enjoy Izu Peninsula.
I retried to visit Izu on the early May. It was great sunshine day so that it was the best to go outside! I visited many places and had brilliant cuisine! I’m writing about Ito and Izu Kogen in this part.

2. Izu Kogen

We visited Izu Kogen where has many sightseeing spots. I really wanted to visit this national park: Jyogasaki Kaigan

Have a look! Such a dramatic cliff! Isn’t it!?
Jogasaki Kaigan is famous for its rugged and dramatic cliffs that have been formed by the lava flows from the nearby Mount Omuro. The cliffs drop sharply into the Pacific Ocean, creating a spectacular natural landscape.
This Coast features several well-maintained hiking trails that offer breathtaking views of the coastline. The most popular trail is the Jogasaki Picnical Course, which is about 9 kilometers long and takes hikers along the cliffs, through forests, and past various scenic viewpoints.

The area has several designated picnic spots where visitors can relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the coast. These spots are perfect for taking a break during a hike and soaking in the serene environment.
Here is home to diverse flora and fauna. The coastal vegetation and forests provide a habitat for various bird species and other wildlife, making it an excellent spot for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers. In this picture, you might not see some trees and flowers. But, many kinds of birds are flying.

This bridge is a landmark of Jyogasaki Coast. It’s Kadowaki Bridge. It’s 48-meter-long bridge spans a deep, narrow inlet and offers stunning views of the coastline and the ocean below. Walking across the bridge is a thrilling experience and provides a unique perspective of the rugged cliffs.

That’s all! Izu Kogen has not only the coast but also many brilliant sightseeing spots!
