
What’s your favorite ramen? I saw TV show about visitors from all over the world and most of them love having ramen. In order to have authentic ramen, they choose to visit Japan!
In this part, I’d like to introduce the basic type of ramen and topping! First, I select Tokyo station to guide ramen because, many visitors are going there and in a Tokyo ramen street, where is located underground of Tokyo station, you can enjoy all kinds of ramen!

1. Shoyu (Soy Sauce)

Shoyu ramen is a basic type of ramen. Generally speaking, Shoyu ramen has unchanged since Showa period so, Shoyu ramen is the most common type of ramen in Japan. The character is clear flavor soup. This brown soup is made from many kinds of ingredient such as fish, meats etc.

To have a Shoyu ramen, Soranoiro is a Shoyu ramen shop in Tokyo ramen street. If you haven’t tried authentic ramen, I recommend you to visit there!
2. Miso

Miso ramen is using soybeans paste (Miso), which is very common seasoning in Japanese family. Originally, Miso ramen comes from Hokkaido. Hokkaido is you know very cold area especially in winter, so having miso soup makes people warmer. Compared to a Shoyu ramen, the taste is a little bit complex.

3. Shio (Salt)

Sorry, I didn’t order normal Shio ramen because, I love spicy noodle. Anyway, Shio ramen is the lightest and clearest ramen. The soup is based on chicken. That’s why Shio ramen is very plain and not heavy. Actually, my favorite ramen is Shio ramen.

4. Tonkotsu (Pork Bone)

This is Tonkotsu ramen. I heard many visitor like Tonkotsu ramen on TV show! Tonkotsu ramen is from Kyusyu region, especially Fukuoka. The character is creamy soup. This soup is made from pork bone and to create creamy soup, it takes a lot of time.

5. How to order

Basically, there is a ticket vending machine in the entrance so, customers have to get a ticket. Think about your ramen which you want, press a button, and get a ticket.
Please make sure that most of ramen shops are not acceptable using credit card. You have to pay in cash or by Suica card which is a transportation prepaid card. Be careful.
6. Topping
You can also add some Topping. To have ramen more delicious, here is a list to add ingredients!
