Foods Album
When I hear the word “album,” most people might immediately think of music. But for me, the word takes me somewhere else—it makes me picture the photo albums I’ve been creating over the years, filled with snapshots of meals I’ve enjoyed and travels I’ve taken abroad. These albums are more than just collections of pictures; they are little windows into moments that shaped who I am. Every time I scroll through them, it feels like flipping through the pages of my own story. Some people collect vinyl records, others treasure playlists, but for me, my albums of travel and food are the soundtrack of my life.
One of my favorite sections of my personal “album” is all about food. I’ve always believed that meals tell stories, and sometimes they say more than words can. A perfectly roasted paella in Barcelona speaks of lazy afternoons by the Mediterranean. A bowl of ramen in Tokyo carries the warmth of home on a rainy day. A plate of pasta in Rome captures laughter shared with friends over a bottle of red wine. When I look back at these pictures, I don’t just remember the taste—I remember the atmosphere, the conversation, and the feelings of being completely present in that moment. Each dish feels like a song on my playlist, replaying the emotions of the day it was first “recorded.”

Travel Album in Another Countries
Travel albums, too, reveal this kind of growth. In my early trips, my photos were mostly of landmarks—towers, bridges, monuments, and famous places I wanted to check off my list. But as I kept traveling, my lens shifted. I began focusing on small streets, locals going about their daily routines, and unexpected encounters that made me pause. A quiet café in London where I spent an hour writing postcards. A hidden alley in Rome where I got lost but discovered the best gelato of my life. A rainy day in Kyoto where I stumbled upon a tiny tea shop and shared a pot of matcha with strangers who soon became friends. These are the kinds of photos that make my album more personal, more alive.
What I love most is sharing these albums with others. Every time I post a new set of pictures online, I feel like I’m inviting people to listen to a track from my life’s record. A photo of a dish might inspire someone to try a new recipe; a snapshot of a city might encourage another traveler to pack their bags and set off on their own journey. Albums don’t just preserve our memories—they connect us to people who might be worlds away but who share the same love for discovery and beauty.
So, when I’m asked, “What’s your all-time favorite album?” my answer will always be the same: it’s the one that I’m building every day through my camera lens, filled with meals and moments from around the world. There’s no single artist, no single record, that could capture the full rhythm of my life. Instead, it’s this ongoing collection of snapshots—of flavors, laughter, landscapes, and friendships—that plays on repeat in my heart. Maybe one day, when I look back decades from now, I’ll see it as a complete work. But for now, I’m happy that it’s still unfinished, with countless new “tracks” waiting to be added. And I can’t wait to share the next chapter with you.
